Uniforms

PRE-KINDERGARTEN

The students in the Pre-Kindergarten Program have a uniform consisting of the following components:

• GYM SHORTS Blake’s Uniform navy blue uniform shorts
  (Please note that shorts may be worn until -mid-October and May 1^st through June.)
• GYM PANTS  Blake’s Uniform navy blue sweatpants with school logo
• SWEATSHIRT  Blake’s Uniform navy blue crew neck sweatshirt with school logo
• POLO SHIRTS  Blake’s Uniform white polo with school logo
• SNEAKERS  basic sneakers without wheels, lights or other “accessories”
• SOCKS  white or navy blue ankle/crew socks (socks must be above the ankle bone)
• DROP WAIST KNIT RED DRESS  Blake’s Uniform with school logo
• TIGHTS/KNEE/ANKLE SOCKS  plain white or navy blue
• LEGGINGS  Blake’s Uniform  navy blue with school logo at the ankle
  (Please note leggings are only worn November through end of April and are worn under the dress)

Specific Uniform Information Boys – Grades K – 8

KINDERGARTEN and FIRST GRADE

SHIRT Blake’s white oxford shirt with button down collar shirt with school logo (short or long sleeve)
PANTS  Blake’s navy blue dress pants
SHORTS  Blake’s uniform, navy blue dress shorts
(May be worn daily from the opening day through mid-October and May – closing day)
SOCKS  white or navy blue crew socks (must be ankle high)
SWEATER  Blake’s V-neck cardigan with school logo
BOYS in Kindergarten and First Grade do not wear a tie.

BOY’S UNIFORM SECOND – EIGHTH GRADE

SHIRT  Blake’s Uniform white Oxford button down collar shirt with school logo (short or long sleeve)
PANTS  Blake’s khaki dress pants with adjustable waist
SHORTS  Blake’s khaki dress shorts
(May be worn daily from the opening day through mid-October and May – closing day).
TIE  Blake’s school plaid clip on or self –tie
 SOCKS  white or navy blue crew socks (must be ankle high)
 SWEATER  Blake’s V-neck cardigan with school logo
St. Ann fleece jacket is an option for boys in grade 6 – 8 and may be worn during the school day.

Physical Education Uniform Requirements

This uniform is to be worn on physical education days except when we have a school liturgy or special assembly/event.

SHORTS  Blake’s Uniform navy blue knit shorts with school logo
(Please note that shorts may not be worn mid-October to end of April)
SWEATPANTS  Blake’s Uniform navy blue sweatpants with school logo
SWEATSHIRT  Blake’s Uniform navy blue crew sweatshirt with school logo
T-SHIRT  Blake’s Uniform white t-shirt with school logo
SNEAKERS  basic sneakers without wheels lights or other “accessories” – no black soles
SOCKS  white/navy blue ankle socks (socks must be above the ankle).  No other color is permitted.

Specific Uniform Information Girls
Grade K – 5 Dress Uniform Requirements

BLOUSE  Blake’s Uniform blouse button down collar to be worn under the jumper
JUMPER  Blake’s Uniform red plaid jumper
(The jumper may not be shorter than 3 inches above the knee all year.  Please consider this before making any alterations.)
SWEATER  Blake’s Uniform red cardigan with school logo
Please note that other sweatshirts, jackets, and sweaters MAY NOT be worn in school.
SOCKS  navy blue or white, ankle socks, knee socks or tights (must be plain, no ribbing or adornment)
LEGGINGS  Blake’s Uniform dark navy blue with St. Ann Academy logo (Worn under the jumper November 1st to end of April)

Girls Grades 6 – 8 Dress Uniform Requirements

BLOUSE  All girls in grade 6 – 8 will wear a Blake’s Uniform white Oxford button down collar with the school logo (short or long sleeve)
SKIRT/SKORT   Blake’s Uniform red plaid skirt.  (The skirt or skort may not be shorter than 3 inches above the knee all year.  Please consider this before making alterations.)
 SOCKS  navy blue or white knee socks or plain tights (no ribbing or adornment)

OPTIONAL

SWEATER   Blake’s red sweater with school logo (No other sweater may be worn.)
FLEECE JACKET Blake’s Uniform fleece with school logo may be worn in class. (Must be worn zipped halfway up and not tied around the waist).
KHAKI PANTS   Blake’s Uniform khaki pants may be worn November 1st – end of April – tight fitting khakis will not be allowed.  (Must be worn with the fleece jacket).

SHOES FOR DRESS UNIFORM

Students are expected to wear solid color navy blue, black or brown shoes with the dress uniform.  Parents are asked to make sure that the shoes are sturdy and appropriate for climbing stairs.  Tie or slip on shoes may be worn in styles similar to Merrell, Oxford, Saddle Shoes, or Loafers.

The following are not permitted:  moccasins, slippers, sandals, open-backed shoes, any type of shoes that resemble sneakers, boots, hi-top shoes, clogs, crocs, Birkenstock or any shoes with a heel over two inches (measured from the back exterior of the shoe).

SHOES FOR GYM

ALL students must wear sneakers to participate in the physical education program.  Sneakers must be free of wheels, lights and distracting ornaments.  The sneakers must have a tan sole, black soles damage the gym floor and are not allowed.
